Carpet Drying Dilemma

Carpet cleaning is one of the most tedious house chores this is why most people settle for outside cleaning service to do it. Cleaning service providers on the other hand have been more challenged than ever to find better alternatives. And one of the popular alternatives is steam cleaning using a machine such as Stanley Steamer. But how does steam cleaning compare to new methods?

HCE or Hot Carbonating Extraction is a cleaning method that is gaining popularity nowadays. Whenever it is compared to previous methods like steam cleaning, it is said that it uses lesser water. And because steam cleaners like Stanley Steamers use more water, there are greater chances of more water remaining into the carpet that can easily turn into a breeding ground for bacteria. This attribute shows one of the downside of steam cleaning though.

In other aspects, slow drying because of steam cleaners causes the carpets to be more prone to dirt because water provides adhesive effect to the dirt on the carpet surface. Hence, not only is your carpet filled with water, it also stores bacteria and dirt and dries up very slow. And to add more to that, typical steam cleaners only use non-biodegradable and harsh chemicals which are seen as a buying turn off by environment conscious consumers.
