Metallic Accents for Your Home

Repainting is one way of renovating or improving the look of the house or anything in it. But just plain repainting only guarantees a fresh look but not necessarily a new or outstanding look. Sometimes repainting the whole house seems to be a good idea but actually one need not paint the whole house just to give it a new look. And besides, repainting the whole house also requires a lot of money which is why most people do not consider it as an easy option.

One practical and cheap way of repainting a house without the hassle of repainting the whole of it is through metallic outlines. Putting some metallic accents on certain outlining spots in the house only requires less effort but can significantly improve the look. Examples of outlining spots in a house are the window frames, staircase railings, door arcs, kitchen islands, and more.

The silver metallic accent works well with houses painted with white walls, doors and windows. Meanwhile, gold goes well with brown and red color themes. Besides the simple color and metal combinations, one helpful guideline also is painting an outline as thin as possible, not more than an inch thick outline, for objects such as kitchen islands or tables.
